In February 2026, I spent two weeks as an artists in residence at MAWDDACH RESIDENCY - exploring and responding to the light and the landscape in and around the estuary

During my time at the resdiency I transformed the stuido spaces into a Camera Obsucra - a giant pin hole camera and a living, breathing photograph. In a February leap of faith, I placed tiny pin hole cameras, made from film canisters around the Mawddach estuary to create solographs to track the passage of the sun across the landscape, instead they recorded strange abstract patterns and globes of light. . I shot on large format pin hole, 35mm and polaroid film. i hand developed film in siitu at the resdiency and experimented with film soup. .
